Ever wondered why it's crucial to educate yourself before heading to the polls? In this heartfelt finale of the season, I, Dom L'Amour, share my journey of political self-discovery and the imperative of personal research when choosing leaders like Kamala Harris. Initially poised to break down my reasons for supporting her, I instead realized the futility of convincing those unwilling to research themselves. Instead, I am channeling my energy into real-world activism by volunteering for the Democratic Party in Georgia. Let’s explore why informed voting matters and how small actions can catalyze significant political change.

Additionally, this episode serves as a warm thank you to everyone who has supported The Black Man Talking Emotions Podcast throughout the year. Your feedback, encouragement, and shared love have driven meaningful conversations on this platform. As I work on my next album, "Domie," slated for release next year or early 2027, I send you my deepest gratitude and best wishes for a joyous holiday season.

Special Thank You to:

Speaker 1:

Ladies and gentlemen, and anyone else who is here, my name is Donald Moore and you are listening to the black man talking emotions podcast. Thank you so much for tuning in today. This is our final episode of the season and I had a grand plan. I was going to do this big study piece and really break down why I was going to be voting for kamala and and make it a big political episode, but I voted against it.

Speaker 1:

Uh, this past week, just after some time of reflection and understanding where I am and I feel like a lot of people have to do the research themselves I'm at that place now where I've seen a lot of articles on people saying, well, we just don't know her or we don't, we don't believe that she is being her true self or whatever. And it's like you just got to do your own research. And if you're not gonna do the research, it's pointless for me to sit up here talking 30 minutes showing you the facts, proving to you that this is the type of person she is. And you just waking up one day and be like, well, I don't really know her, so I don't care anymore. Like, well, I don't really know her, so I don't care anymore. So at this point especially after that DNC where we learned every inch of her life, if you haven't done enough research to know if you will or not vote for this person, or if you for some reason still feel like this person is just in there because she's black, that's fucking ridiculous. Just so you can hear it out loud you need to get your shit together and you need to go and really do some fucking research on this person, who has literally been a public servant for fucking years. So I'm sorry for cursing. I'm not gonna go too deep into it because, like I said, instead of talking about it on here, I'm gonna try my best to do what I can in real life. I just asked to volunteer. This would be my first year volunteering for the Democratic Party and doing different things around Georgia, because we're in a swing state now. This is a place that needs people to actually be active, and I'm I'm tired of talking about it. I want to be about it. So I just wish everybody luck at the end of the year when it comes to the election and I'll leave it at that.

Speaker 1:

With that being said, this episode is really just about thanking everybody for taking time to rock with me this year and actually listen to my podcast and give me inspiration and push me and say, hey, you're doing something good, keep doing it. And I appreciate that, because I really do love doing this podcast and I appreciate talking to my dear friends and people, that I get to meet on this podcast and and talking about the hard subjects. I enjoy that and next year I'm going to hopefully do even more and push it more and push it to more audience members and continue to build it. So thank you to those who listen. Thank you to those who listen, thank you to those who share Special shout out to those who subscribe to supporting the podcast. The two I'm going to shout out for sure is Derek Statton and Christopher Shank. Those two have been very instrumental and I've been able to market the show because of the money that they donate through the description each month. So thank you so much for that.

I'm gonna start posting stuff there and on my Instagram and I'm really gonna start pushing the narrative. The goal for this album is to sell a thousand albums and I'm not looking to stream. I don't. I'm looking for real fans, people who are really looking to invest in the type of music I do, which is swinging jazz most of the time.
